Mega remote monitoring systems enable the users to access to generator system anywhere at any time without distance limitations. The remote monitoring system will help the users to monitor all the generator-related details remotely. The remote monitoring system offers high-quality solutions where all complex structures can be monitored on a special screen.

The generator can be controlled with the control unit on the Mega generator set panels and the intervention can be applied from the computer system. The computer can be placed next to or away from the generator.

The simplest control is to connect the control unit on the generator to the computer port. The purchased program is installed on the computer and the generator can be controlled on the program. Since the generator is connected to the computer, the connection cannot be established for long distances. The system is limited to approximately a 10-meter control field.

The necessary program is installed on the computer with the help of an optional unit for intervention on the internet or local network and the generator can be controlled without distance limitation.

The remote monitoring system can provide details about the alternator, control system and engine state. The remote monitoring can enable generator location on/off, generator starting, stopping and reversing.

Remote Monitoring Modules

The generator modules have various control modules. These generator modules have unique communication ports. Although some generator modules use remote monitoring systems, these systems enable monitoring up to 10 meters. Some modules enable monitoring and control without any distance limitation. At this stage, the generator control module and the communication property play an important role. Some communication properties might differ for communication modules and module brands.

Generator Monitoring and Control Types

  1. Single generator monitoring and control

  • A cable is installed between the generator and the computer to establish at most 10 meters of connection. (The computer should have a special port for monitoring and control. If the computer does not have this port, suitable USB converters (OTG) can be used for the connection. )
  • Cabled monitoring and control with 100 meters with the generator (the communication protocol for the communication between the generator and computer should be present and a USB converter should be used. )
  • The communication between the generator and computer with wireless access over an internet provider modem (a GSM modem must be present in addition to the control module and control computer. )
  • Monitoring and control over an Ethernet line (up to 100 meters cabled monitoring and control or remote monitoring and control along the Ethernet line.)
  • Any generator failure can be sent to the user’s mobile phone over the GSM modem to ensure remote monitoring.
  1. Multiple generator monitoring and control

  • Multiple singular generators of the user can be monitored with regional maps by using special software suitable for the control module. (All generator parameters can be accessed on the system. The existing parameters can be changed. The generator can be turned on/off and the generators can be made synchronous.)
  • The generators supplied on the system with multiple synchronizations can be monitored and controlled with a cable connection, Ethernet connection or GSM modem connection method. (All operations provided by the software can be completed on the system.)
  • It is possible to separately monitor the system supply generators from a single protocol. All operations can be completed on this system.
  1. Single or multiple generator monitoring and control

Single or multiple generator monitoring and control are monitoring the generators by collecting information on a port or Modbus TCP and transferring the data to a Windows-based SCADA.
